They are trying to settle this land acquisition process so that the animals, comprising the prized one-horned rhinos, are better protected. Though the Kaziranga National Park already has around 800-square- kilometer-area but it is not officially sanctioned.

“Steps are being taken to plant saplings in 20,000 hectares. A process was also on to raise an Assam Forest Protection Force” remarked a minister.

Kaziranga National Park has always been a title of a noteworthy success story of preservation of one horned India Rhinoceros and other wild lives in the North East India.
